This blog is set up for anyone who loves to read but especially anyone who enjoys a good Young Adult selection. I am 34 but have found the I truly enjoy many of the Young Adult books! One of my favorite authors is the author of Shiver, Linger and Forever, Maggie Stiefvater. I am looking forward to sharing many books that I have read and will be reading and I hope you too will share your own Young Adult books that you may be reading! Any suggestions, ideas or comments are greatly appreciated! I hope you enjoy this as much as I am!

Ever wanted to escape this world and go to another one?  Well Matthew did just that.  Down to the Safe from Above to get away from the harsh city they call Above.  Safe is a refuge underground for all those fleeing the Above.  Matthew meets Ariel who he falls in love with and loves to see smile.  When the Safe is taken over and attacked by an old enemy and his shadows, Matthew and the others must go back Above and learn to survive.  A story of love and triumph it will keep your heart pounding until the end!

Life is hard enough these days let alone being different than everyone else!  This book talks about being different and learning how to embrace your strengths to get where you want to go.  Not everyone who is successful followed the so called "right path"  You know graduating from high school then college.  Sometimes just being who you are can get you where you want to go!  Great read and quite fascinating!  "Your time is limited so don't waste time living someone else's life.....Steve Jobs.

Violet Eden is just turning 17 and her life couldn't get any worse could it?  Between the mysterious guy she loves who says he is only half human, the mysteries injuries from her dreams, a dark tattoo making it's way up her arm and the fluttering of wings would make anyone sound a little crazy right?  Well Violet finds out she is only half human too and them mystery that surrounds her is quite intriguing.  Just what will happen to Violet Eden?  Pick it up and find out.....you might be surprised!

Avi (2011). City of Orphans. Richard Jackson, New York.

It is 1893 and you are a paperboy in the City of New York.  Each day is filled with adventure on how to avoid the local Bruno and the Plug Ugly Gang.  Along with just trying to survive, Maks, must try to free his sister from jail.  She is there for supposedly stealing a watch from the Waldorf Hotel but he know she is innocent and only has four days to prove it!  The book is full of fun surprises and mystery!  A great read for anyone!

Wahoo Cray lives in a Zoo with his dad. His dad wrangles all kinds of animals from alligators to monkeys which is all good but the one who needs wrangling is actually his dad.  A bit on the wild side Wahoo's dad decides to take a reality TV job for  Expedition Survival.  Things turned wildly weird on their expedition and shoot and things take a turn for the worst.  Will Wahoo and his dad survive?  Who will end up saving who?  Read this exciting mystery to figure out just what happens in the Everglades of Florida with all those wild animals!

Above are just a few of the books in this series.  Not only is this series popular with young adults it is popular with adults as well.  Maximum Ride is a girl otherwise known as Max.  She is part of a "flock".  In the flock is herself, Iggy, Fang, Gasman, Nudge and Angel.  They appear to be just like regular teenagers but they have wings and they can fly.  These stories are full of adventure, intrigue, mystery and survival.  Once you start reading you won't be able to put them down.  Who wouldn't want to fly?  There is always a price for having what others don't but Max and the "flock" are faced with many adventures that lead them to face some pretty interesting characters! Pick up the series and lose yourself in Max's world!
